Depending on road conditions, the drive normally takes around three to four hours. From the roadhead, you begin walking toward Ghandruk.

If the weather is clear, you may get your first impressive views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
Spend the night in a local teahouse and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

The trail includes both uphill and downhill sections. You cross stone staircases and walk through forests while enjoying views of the surrounding mountains.
Chhomrong is an important stop on the ABC trail. From here, the trail gradually enters the deeper Annapurna Sanctuary.
After a short break, continue toward Sinuwa. The scenery changes as you move away from the larger villages and into forested sections of the trail.
The total walking time is normally around five to six hours.

Day 3: Upper Sinuwa to Deurali
Distance: 10–11 km

Today, the landscape starts to feel more mountainous.
From Sinuwa, the trail passes through dense forests of rhododendron, bamboo, and oak. You walk through places such as Bamboo and Dovan before continuing toward Deurali.
The trail gradually gains altitude, so walking at a comfortable pace is important.
You will notice the temperature becoming cooler as you climb higher. Waterfalls, narrow valleys, rocky sections, and mountain scenery become more common along the route.
After around five to six hours of walking, you reach Deurali at approximately 3,230 meters.
This is an important night before reaching Annapurna Base Camp. Your guide from Igloo Himalaya Treks will remind you to drink enough water, walk slowly, and rest properly.
Day 4: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp
Distance: 7–9 km
Walking time: 5–6 hours
Altitude: 4,130 meters
Overnight: Annapurna Base Camp
Day 4 is the most exciting part of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary 7 Days, as you finally reach Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters.
This is the most exciting day of your 7-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
You leave Deurali after breakfast and continue toward the Annapurna Sanctuary. The vegetation becomes thinner as you gain altitude, and the valley opens up around you.
The trail passes through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, located at around 3,700 meters. From here, you continue toward Annapurna Base Camp.
The final section can feel challenging because of the altitude. You do not need to rush. A slow and steady pace is the best approach.
After several hours of walking, you finally reach Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters.
Standing among the giant Himalayan peaks is an unforgettable experience. Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, and other surrounding peaks create a spectacular natural amphitheater.
Take your time to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the sanctuary.
You spend the night at a teahouse near Annapurna Base Camp.
Day 5: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
Distance: 14–15 km
Walking time: 6–7 hours
Altitude: 2,310 meters
Overnight: Bamboo
Wake up early if the weather is clear. Sunrise at Annapurna Base Camp can be one of the most beautiful moments of the trek.
After breakfast, you begin your return journey.
The trail is mostly downhill, but don’t underestimate the distance. Descending on stone steps for several hours can be tiring on your knees and legs.
You retrace the trail through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, Dovan, and finally reach Bamboo.
Because you lose a significant amount of altitude today, the air becomes warmer and the forests become thicker again.
After approximately six to seven hours of walking, you arrive at Bamboo for the night.
Day 6: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda
Distance: 11–12 km
Walking time: 5–6 hours
Altitude: 1,780 meters
Overnight: Jhinu Danda
After breakfast, continue toward Jhinu Danda.
The trail passes through forests and traditional mountain settlements. You will have more downhill sections, although there are still some uphill and stair sections along the way.
Jhinu Danda is famous among trekkers for its natural hot springs.
After reaching the village and checking into your teahouse, you can walk down to the nearby hot springs if you still have enough energy.
Relaxing in the warm natural water while surrounded by the green hills is a wonderful way to finish your trekking days.
Day 7: Jhinu Danda to Siwai and Drive Back to Pokhara
Walking: 3–4 km

The drive gives you time to relax and look back on the seven-day journey through the Annapurna region.
After reaching Pokhara, your 7-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Igloo Himalaya Treks officially comes to an end.
Day 4: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp – The Highlight of the 7-Day Itinerary
Distance: 7–9 km
Walking time: 5–6 hours
Starting altitude: 3,230 m at Deurali
Maximum altitude: 4,130 m at Annapurna Base Camp
Overnight: Annapurna Base Camp
Day 4 is the most exciting and memorable part of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary 7 Days. Today, you leave Deurali and walk deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by some of the most impressive Himalayan scenery in Nepal. Although the distance is not very long, the altitude makes this day more demanding, so walking slowly and steadily is important.
After breakfast at Deurali, the trail continues through the narrow mountain valley toward Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). The landscape changes as you gain altitude. The dense forest gradually disappears, the valley becomes wider, and huge rocky mountains begin to rise around you. Along the way, you can see waterfalls, cliffs, glaciers, and snow-covered peaks depending on the season and weather.
The trail reaches Machhapuchhre Base Camp at around 3,700 meters. Despite its name, this is not the climbing base camp for Machhapuchhre, as climbing the sacred mountain is restricted. It is an important resting point for trekkers heading toward Annapurna Base Camp. From here, you get a magnificent view of Machhapuchhre, also known as Fishtail, along with Annapurna South and other surrounding peaks.
After taking some time to rest and enjoy the mountain views, you continue toward Annapurna Base Camp. The trail gradually climbs through the open alpine landscape. At this elevation, the air is thinner, so you may feel that your walking pace has become slower. There is no reason to rush. Taking short breaks and drinking enough water can make the final section much more comfortable.
As you get closer to Annapurna Base Camp, the enormous Himalayan peaks seem to surround the trail from every direction. The feeling is completely different from the lower sections of the trek. Green forests have been replaced by rugged mountains, snow, rocks, and a wide open Himalayan valley.
After approximately 5–6 hours of walking, you reach Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters. This is the moment you have been working toward since starting the trek.
Annapurna Base Camp sits inside a natural mountain amphitheater, with massive peaks rising around the sanctuary. On a clear day, you can see Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and several other Himalayan peaks.
Take your time to enjoy the surroundings rather than rushing straight to your room. Walk around the base camp, take photographs, and simply experience the atmosphere of standing at 4,130 meters in the middle of the Annapurna mountains.
In the evening, the mountains can change color as the sunlight disappears behind the peaks. If the weather remains clear, the night sky can also be spectacular. It is a peaceful and unforgettable place to spend a night.
Walking Safely From Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp
The most important thing today is not speed but a steady pace. The altitude increases significantly from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp, so our guide from Igloo Himalaya Treks will keep an eye on how you are feeling throughout the day.
Drink water regularly, avoid rushing uphill, and tell your guide immediately if you experience unusual symptoms such as severe headache, dizziness, nausea, or difficulty breathing.
Our local guides know this section of the Annapurna trail well and will help you choose a comfortable pace according to your condition and the weather.
