Langtang Valley Trek Overview
Langtang Valley Trek is a blend of pristine nature, rich culture and adventure within a short period of time, perfect for any age group and anyone seeking unforgettable trekking experience in the Himalayas.
The Langtang Valley Trek 10 days begins from Syabrubesi, north of Kathmandu, and is reached by road. The destination is less crowded than the Everest or Annapurna routes; this trail offers a peaceful alternative. Though the 2015 earthquake caused major damage, most infrastructure has been restored, and the region warmly welcomes trekkers again.
The trail passes through charming villages and teahouses up to Kyanjing Gompa, the usual turnaround point. Some continue on to Yala Peak. The trek offers a mix of lush forests in the lower areas and towering snowy peaks in the upper valley, with friendly locals and rich mountain culture throughout.
In some parts of the trek we will walk through a narrow trail that winds around the hillside with a little bit of incline and a little bit of decline. Langtang Valley Trek provides an opportunity to do a couple of hikes up to Kynajin Ri and Tsergo Ri, reaching around the altitude of 5000 meters without affecting the itinerary. The accommodation and meals on this trek are quite basic. Teahouses offer private rooms, and at some places there is an attached bathroom service too.
