Your journey starts in the heart of Nepal. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you'll be welcomed by our representative of Igloo Himalaya Treks and transferred to your hotel in Thamel—Kathmandu’s cultural and tourist hub.

Our representative will provide you with the complete Everest base camp trek details after you check in to your hotel. Relax and recover from your flight, or you can also explore the lively streets of Kathmandu filled with local eateries, colorful shops, and centuries-old shrines.

The journey begins with a thrilling early morning flight to Lukla. This flight offers you the views of the Himalayas. Later we will land at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport and begin our trek along the Dudh Koshi River, passing through pine forests and nearby small Sherpa villages. We will spend the night in a peaceful riverside lodge surrounded by greenery. 

On during the peak season of the EBC trek, the flight to Lukla also operates from Ramechhap Manthali Airport, making it easy to get flights even in peak seasons of the trek.

Distance: 10–11 km | Duration: 6 hours

Cross suspension bridges and enter Sagarmatha National Park. The trail gradually ascends through rhododendron forests and riverbanks, with your first distant view of Mt. Everest near Top Danda. The final uphill stretch to Namche tests your stamina but rewards you with breathtaking scenery. Evening unwinds in a cozy teahouse nestled in the bustling Sherpa town.

Spend the day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. Short hikes to Syangboche Airport, Everest View Hotel, or the Sherpa Museum offer panoramic Himalayan views, including Ama Dablam and Everest. Take your time and soak in the mountain ambiance. Return for the night to your welcoming lodge tucked at Namche’s hillside.

Distance: 10 km | Duration: 5–6 hours

Follow a scenic ridge, descend through forests, and cross the Dudh Koshi River before a steady uphill climb to Tengboche. The highlight here is Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region, framed perfectly by the mountains. Spend the night near this sacred site with the sounds of prayer wheels spinning in the wind.

Cross a suspension bridge over the Imja Khola and ascend gradually past Pangboche—the highest year-round settlement in the region. You’ll enter the Imja Valley with open views of the soaring peaks surrounding you. Relax in a warm lodge cradled in the heart of the valley, beneath towering cliffs.

Take this essential day for rest and altitude adjustment. Optional hikes to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m) or Chhukung (4,730m) offer great views and help prepare you for higher elevations. Spend another night in your mountain haven, warmed by yak-dung stoves and local hospitality.

Distance: 8–9 km | Duration: 5–6 hours

Today’s trail offers a sobering stop at Thukla Pass, where memorials honor climbers who lost their lives on Everest. From here, trek across glacial moraine toward Lobuche. Evening rest in a windswept lodge beneath the towering face of Nuptse.

Distance: 15 km round-trip | Duration: 7–8 hours

This is the big day. Trek past the Khumbu Glacier and rocky ridgelines to reach Everest Base Camp. Take time to absorb the history, scenery, and energy of the world’s highest peak. After exploring the area, return to Gorak Shep. Spend the night at the highest teahouse along the trail, frozen yet full of warmth.

Distance: 13–14 km | Duration: 6–7 hours

Start before dawn to ascend Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint for sunrise over Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse. After soaking in the golden glow, descend to Gorak Shep for breakfast, then continue down to Pheriche. Evening stay in a wind-sheltered lodge with crisp mountain air and quiet surroundings.

Distance: 14–15 km | Duration: 6–7 hours

Retrace your steps down through alpine trails, past Tengboche Monastery and lush forests, eventually reaching Namche Bazaar. Return to your favorite hillside teahouse for a celebratory rest among fellow trekkers.
