The Everest View Trek is a great choice for travelers who want to see Mount Everest but do not have enough time for the longer Everest Base Camp Trek.

This 7-day trek takes you from Kathmandu to Lukla and then into the beautiful Khumbu region. You will walk beside the Dudh Koshi River, cross suspension bridges, pass through small Sherpa villages and pine forests, and finally reach Namche Bazaar.

From Namche, we hike higher toward the Everest View area, where you can see Mount Everest and several other famous Himalayan peaks on a clear day.

You do not need to reach Everest Base Camp to enjoy the Everest region.

What Is the Everest View Trek?

The Everest View Trek is a short Nepal’s Himalayan trek that takes you into the famous Everest region without going all the way to Everest Base Camp.

It is especially popular with people who have limited time in Nepal.

The trek starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. From Lukla, we walk through Phakding and continue toward Namche Bazaar.

Namche is one of the most interesting places in the Khumbu. It is a busy mountain town where trekkers, guides, porters and local Sherpa people meet.

After spending time in Namche, we hike toward the Everest View area.

This is where you get the beautiful Himalayan panorama.

On a clear day, you can see Mount Everest along with Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku and other surrounding peaks.

For many travelers, this is the moment they have been waiting for. You finally stand in front of the mountain you have seen in photographs for years.

Why Choose Everest View Trek?

There are many reasons travelers choose this trek.

The first is time.

Not everyone can take two or three weeks away from work or family. The Everest View Trek allows you to experience the Everest region within a shorter holiday.

It is also a good option if you want to experience Himalayan trekking but do not feel ready for the higher altitude of Everest Base Camp.

During the trek, you will experience much more than mountain views.

You will walk through Sherpa villages, see Buddhist prayer flags and mani walls, cross suspension bridges and spend nights in traditional mountain teahouses.

You will also have time to talk with your guide and learn about the people and culture of the Khumbu.

That is one of the things we like most about this trek.

It is not only about seeing Everest.

It is about experiencing the place around Everest.
