Trek Overview
Your Kanchenjunga Short Circuit Trek starts from Kathmandu, then goes by a scenic overland drive to Taplejung, the gateway to the Kanchenjunga region. From here, the trek heads toward some really remote villages: Sekathum, Amjilosa, Gyabla, and finally the beautiful Sherpa village of Ghunsa, where you shall start acclimatization.
It goes through Kambachen and Lhonak towards the never-to-forget Kanchenjunga North Base Camp at Pangpema. Then the hike goes down to Ghunsa and, via high passes, toward a pristine Yalung Glacier to Ramche and, last but not least, to Kanchenjunga South Base Camp.
It brings varying landscapes each day, from dense forests to high alpine terrain with massive glaciers and stunning Himalayan peaks.
