Key Trip Facts — Quick Reference
Essential Expedition SpecificationsEverest View Trek Package Overview
Our seven-day Everest View Trek follows the lower Khumbu trail from Lukla to Namche Bazaar, with a hike to Hotel Everest View at around 3,880 m. The route combines Sherpa villages, forests and suspension bridges with a mountain viewpoint visit. You return to Namche to sleep before retracing the trail to Lukla the following day.
After flying to Lukla, you walk through village paths and forested slopes towards Phakding beside the Dudh Koshi River. The next day brings more suspension bridges and a sustained climb to Namche Bazaar. Prayer wheels, mani walls and Buddhist shrines reflect the traditions of the communities along the route. Namche offers shops, cafés and bakeries to explore during your two-night stay, with walking paths above the hillside town.
Day 4 takes you above Namche towards Syangboche and Hotel Everest View. In clear weather, the viewpoint looks towards Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam among the surrounding peaks. The walk gains height during the day before returning to Namche. Your last trekking day follows the valley through Monjo and Phakding, with further climbs before Lukla.
The programme includes one acclimatisation day in Namche, combining a hike with another night at the same elevation. You still need to prepare for consecutive walking days, uneven ground and long climbs. The ascent to Namche and the return to Lukla require steady effort. Technical climbing skills are unnecessary, but the shorter itinerary does not remove the effects of altitude.
You stay in mountain teahouses during the trek and a hotel in Kathmandu. The seven-day programme covers your arrival, the walking journey, return travel and departure from Nepal.

Year-Round Climate PatternsThese are seasonal patterns; conditions can vary from year to year and during an individual trek.
How Weather Changes Along the Route

Wind increases the chill on exposed sections. Even during spring and autumn, nights in Namche can be cold. The viewpoint hike reaches higher, where wind, cloud or snow may affect conditions.
Carry warm layers, waterproof clothing and gloves, and adjust the walk if the weather deteriorates.
Which Season Should You Choose?
Choose timing to suit your prioritiesChoose spring if you prefer warmer walking days and flowering forests.
Choose autumn if clearer mountain mornings are your main priority.
Winter requires preparation for colder conditions, while monsoon trips need flexibility around rain, slippery trails and possible flight delays.

Everest View Trek Package FAQs
Route & Itinerary
Yes, provided you prepare well and have suitable fitness. Previous hiking experience helps, but technical climbing skills are unnecessary. Before departure, practise longer hill walks with a daypack and become comfortable walking uphill and downhill on consecutive days.
Yes, the viewpoint around Hotel Everest View offers views towards Everest in clear weather. Lhotse, Ama Dablam and other Khumbu peaks may also be visible. Cloud can obscure the mountains, so the itinerary cannot guarantee visibility.
No. You visit Hotel Everest View during the day and return to a teahouse in Namche for the night. This package includes two nights in Namche, with the viewpoint hike between them. Overnight accommodation at the hotel is excluded.
No. This itinerary reaches Namche and Hotel Everest View before returning to Lukla. It does not continue to Tengboche, Dingboche, Gorak Shep or Everest Base Camp. Those higher places require additional walking days and acclimatisation arrangements on a longer programme.

Day 4 includes a hike above Namche towards Hotel Everest View, followed by another night in the town. The pace and turnaround point depend on weather, trail conditions and how you feel during the walk.
No. Good fitness helps with the walking demands, but it does not prevent altitude illness. Fit and experienced trekkers can also become unwell. Follow the acclimatisation schedule and report symptoms immediately instead of assuming fitness will protect you.
Tell your guide immediately about headaches, nausea, dizziness or unusual fatigue. Do not ascend to a higher sleeping altitude while experiencing symptoms of altitude illness. If symptoms worsen despite rest at the same elevation, descent is necessary.
A porter carries your main trekking luggage, with one porter shared between two trekkers. You carry your daypack containing water, weather protection, medicines and other daily essentials. Keep your passport, money and valuables with you.
We provide a sleeping bag, down jacket and duffel bag for use during the trip. All three must be returned afterwards. Bring your own boots, clothing, toiletries, medicines and electronics, and check equipment suitability before leaving Kathmandu.
Yes. The starting price for one person is USD 995. Send us your dates to check availability and confirm the final quotation, accommodation, porter arrangements and any private or group options for your seven-day trek.
Arrange insurance for the route, including trekking to around 3,880 metres, helicopter evacuation and medical treatment in Nepal. Check activity and altitude limits, exclusions and the assistance procedure. The shorter duration does not remove altitude or evacuation concerns.
