Manasalu Circuit Trek

Overview

Manasalu Trek is one of the off-the-beaten mind blowing treks that lies on the northern part of Nepal.  Manasalu Trek is on several people’s bucket list as it is the paradise for the people who are solitude seeker. The average walking hours per day is 6-7 hours. The accommodation and meals in this trek are quite basic. Teahouse offers private rooms with twin beds and at some places there is attached bathroom service too. 

The weather depends upon the season you’re travelling, if we travel in spring season the weather is relatively stable, moderate warm where as in autumn season the weather is warm during the day but in morning and night it becomes colder. 

The journey begins from Kathmandu to Machhikhola travelling through difficult bumpy dirt roads with scenic beauties. The following day we will start trekking to a completely different area that unfolds quite and pure world.  

This trek takes you through the pristine beauty of Manasalu Conservation Area, offering breathtaking glimpse of steamy lowlands adorned with rice and millet terraces, lush dense forest of alpines, deep gorges. Throughout this whole trek we will be crossing rivers, suspension bridges and witnessing beautiful environment. 

As we progress northward, our journey leads us to the rocky, difficult trail in some parts of the trek because of the landslides. The upper we go, we will see less vegetation, it becomes windy, dry and barren but the majestic and soothing vista that slowly unfolds in front of us will make the effort entirely worthwhile. This adventurous trekking will be challenging with rewards of tropical green hills with snowcapped mountains.
