Overview

Annapurna basecamp Trek is one of the most famous treks in Nepal. This route is flocked by trekkers of all age groups. This trek literally brings you face to face with an eight-thousander. Annapurna I (8901 meters) holds an almost fatal attraction. This whole treks brings you close to the mountains and nature.

Usually this trek is done between 8-14 days, we can customize it according to your preferences. The following overview is of 12 days including days of your arrival and departure.

Our journey begins with a ride to Pokhara from Kathmandu. We have options to reach Pokhara either by plane or road transportation. On the way to Pokhara we can see various fascinating mountain ranges such as Langtang range, Ganesh Himal range, Manasalu range, Lamjung Himal and Annapurna range if the weather is clear. After reaching Pokhara, we can roam around the lake side. It’s a gorgeous fresh water lake which is eerily similar to a mirror! The lake reflects the breathtaking reflection of Mt. Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna Range. Perhaps you could participate in an evening aarati too performed in front of the TalBarahi Temple!

The next day we will head towards Hile our starting point in a vehicle. From there we will slowly incline to Tikhedhunga and then to Ulleri with path made up of stone staircases. The following day we will trek to Ghorepani through lush green forest of rhododendrons and beautiful scenarios. If the weather is clear, we will do a short hike up to Poonhill to see sunset or the next morning to see sunrise. From Poonhill you will see Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, AnnapurnaII, Annapurna IV, Annapurna fangs and Dhaulagiri.

On the fourth day we will head towards to Tadhapani, staying here will help you acclimatize with the local environment and learn the antique ways of interaction with the locals.  The following day our camp will be at Chhommrung. From there you will have a nice view of Annapurna south, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre. The next day we will head towards Himalaya, on the way we will see waterfalls, flora and fauna.

On the seventh day we will trek towards Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchre base camp, this day will be full of mesmerizing views and thrilling paths. We will be surrounded by gigantic mountains with cold breezes. After successfully reaching and staying one night at basecamp we will start to return back the same path within 2 days. Our last day in the mountains will be at Jhinu danda where you can relax and cleanse your exhaustion from the Trek.

This particular route is designed for globetrotters who wish to hike to the basecamp of the spectacular mountain but are limited by time.
